Before presenting the size guide to you, we want to remind you about our policy. The customer is free to change the size of the cuffs bought if the customer pays for the shipping costs. The customer is recommended to contact Swedishcollar before or after the order is placed and to send us a photo when the measurement is taken. The Swedishcollar team will help guiding you to the best possible fit before shipping the product to you. If our recommendation is not correct after you sent us the picture, Swedishcollar will pay for half the shipping costs.
The wrist cuffs from Swedish Collar are made to fit the human hand with a snug and comfortable fit. Our philosophy when designing the sizes is that two sizes should fit one person. One size with fit tight and the second one with a loose fit.
The bracelet parts are all made in a high precision CNC machine and are formed from a solid block of metal. The human wrist is not round, but a bit rectangular. This form will also be found on the wrist cuff design.
To measure the size of your neck for a Swedish Collar, use a flexible band. You can get a free flexible band at your nearest IKEA. The collar sizes are in millimetres (mm). If your flexible band is in inches, use the conversion rate of 1 inch = 25.4mm.
To measure the wrist, place the band over the Ulna bone and stretch the band firmly around your wrist. Do not pull the band too tight, just enough for the band to gently touch your skin. See the picture for more details.
Measure both your wrists. Normally, your dominant wrist is a bit larger. If you believe that the difference is too big for one size to fit both wrists, please get in contact with us and we can ship one size for each wrist.
In the pictures to the side the model measures:
There are many sizes of cuffs to choose from. In total there are 12 sizes of cuffs and the difference between the two sizes is between 6mm and 9mm.
There are heavy cuffs and lighter cuffs. In the “fitting” pictures, we would like to show how well the cuffs fit the measured body
The model in the picture is 188cm, the weight is about 80kg. The properties of the wrist are assumed to be average if there now is anything called “average” in this world.
The stainless steel wrist cuffs, size 185, fit snugly and comfortably on both wrists, lying smoothly above the ulna bone and allowing for unrestricted movement.
The smaller size 178 was tried but restricted movement was felt on the dominant wrist.
Testing the size 192 gives the model some more space. It is almost impossible to see the differences between the smaller 185 and the larger 192. There is a 7mm difference between the sizes.
The conclusion is that both sizes fit very well, so it is up to the person wearing the cuffs to choose a snug fit or a loose fit.
To measure the size of your wrists for wrist-cuffs, use a flexible band. You can get a free flexible band at your nearest IKEA. The wrist-cuff sizes are in millimeters (mm). If your flexible band is in inches, use the conversion rate of 1 inch = 25.4mm.

The model in the picture is 178cm, the weight is about 67kg. The The Ulna bone on the models wrists are dominant on both wrists. Because of this, the most comfortable fit for the model is the larger size and a loose fit.
The stainless steel wrist cuffs, size 171, fit with a loose fit and comfortably on both wrists, lying smoothly above the ulna bone and allowing for unrestricted movement. The Ulna bone is quite dominant on the model and therefore, the loose fit becomes more comfortable.
The smaller size 164 was tried but restricted movement was felt on the dominant wrist. Pictures of this is shown below without ring.
The 50mm stainless steel wrist cuffs, size 171, fit with a loose fit and comfortably on both wrists, lying smoothly above the ulna bone and allowing for unrestricted movement. The Ulna bone is quite dominant on the model and therefore, the loose fit becomes more comfortable.
Compared to the 40mm cuffs, the heavier 50mm falls down a bit, but forms nicely around the wrist.
The stainless steel wrist cuffs, size 164, fits with a snug fit and feels a bit too tight because of the dominant Ulna bone.
The light version “all in black” covers the Ulna bone, but tight. The movement is a bit restricted. The model chooses to wear the other two cuffs above the Ulna bone.
The wrist cuffs in size 171, fit with a loose fit and are comfortably on both wrists, lying smoothly covering the ulna bone and allowing for unrestricted movement.
To choose the correct size for wrist-cuffs, start by measuring the circumference of both wrists. All the cuffs from Swedish Collar are to form the wrists nicely. All parts are made from a single block of metal using 5-axis CNC machines. The more retangular shape provides a good fit for the wrist. To measure the circumference around your wrists, place the measuring band over Ulna bone, as shown in the pictures above.
The desired tightness of the wristcuffs may vary from person to person, but if you want a snug fit, do not add anything to the measurement.
The 50mm version is slightly taller and thicker The 50mm wristcuff is 9mm at the waist compared to 8mm at the waist for the 40mm. The 50mm wrist cuff might feel tighter than the 40mm version because it is higher.
The size is the same for the 40mm and the 50mm, but the 50mm covers more of the arm. If the 50mm wristcuff feels tight, the same size in the 40mm version may fit perfectly.
In most cases measuring the circumference should be enough, but to be sure ordering the correct size, please also measure the “Side to Side” and “Up to Inside”. These measured values should be smaller or equal to the selected cuff size.
The table below is a hint of what size will fit your wrist the best. If you want further advice, please send us an email with a picture when you take the measurement. We will guide you to the best possible fit.
The Swedish Collar comes in different materials. You as a customer are able to make your own design and you can choose between (S) Stainless-steel (316L), (B) Tin-bronze (CC483K), (A) Aluminium (AW-6082). Below are two charts presenting the weight in grams (g) for the most common designs for the two different versions provided, 40mm and 50mm.
